Hey guys, for some reason the internet in my building has been down for a while which made it impossible to post new stuff! So, I thought I would redeem myself by saving you girls some money!
We all know how expensive hair extensions are, many ranging from $100 to $300! Instead of wasting all that money I've decided to show you how easy it is to make your own clip-ins.
First:
You will be needing these products...
Hair: hair can be found at any beauty supply, even Sally's
the price usually fluctuates by quality
Wig Clips: found at any beauty supply or wig store ($5-$12)
Thick Thread or Weave Thread: you can find this thread at any beauty supply it may be black or white ($5)
If the extensions are blonde be sure to buy white thread
(for this tutorial I'll be using yellow because I ran out of black)
Thick Straight or Curved Needle: make sure the needle hole is large enough to fit the thick thread
Second:
Measure the length of hair to the area of your head it will be covering and then cut
Be sure that the hair is two rows thick - meaning: fold the weft (thick portion where the hair is secure) over
Open the clip and place the flat end on the hair
Take the folded weft and place the clip with the open portion towards you on top
Continue to go through each tooth in the clip to make sure it is secure
Secure the clip by threading through the last hole and then knot the threat multiple times
Do this to each clip
The longer pieces of hair need 3-4 clips and the shorter pieces will need at least 2 clips
Lastly:
After you're done clip them in and style how you wish!
